I feel the same. For me, living with chronic illness has forced me to slow down a lot, and I'm embracing 'slow living' - living that feels calm, as you write. There's no way I could keep up with the slow living aesthetic that I see everywhere at the moment!

I feel the same about minimalism- its a look rather than a lifestyle.
Amen amen amen. I enjoy living slow living, within my own means and abilities. Not “looking” like it and documenting everything.
Amen! I feel like I’ve never quit for the “slow aesthetic” ; I feel like I’m not quite in the fast lane or the slow lane.
My kids go to public school. I buy bread at the store. But we say no to the excessive overly scheduled life that seems to be the expectation.
It’s challenging to feel like I’m living in the in between space. But it’s where my family thrives!
