I know at this point of the year we’re all knee-deep in Christmas but I still wanted to pop in as we ease into the winter season. And if it all just seems like too much right now, save me and come back in the new year when we’ll absolutely still be knee-deep in winter.

The thing about the shift between Autumn and Winter is that it happens so seamlessly it’s like we don’t realise. With Christmas everywhere, it almost overshadows the switchover. One moment we’re enjoying autumn, then we’re knee-deep in Christmas and once the new year rolls around it’s almost a surprise that we’re in winter. It’s like we didn’t see it coming.

And I think it’s because we didn’t.
